Riverhead Ferry (MV Kawau Isle) provides charter boat cruises around Auckland's Waitemata Harbour, the Hauraki Gulf and the islands of the Gulf that help to make this one of the finest cruising grounds in New Zealand.

At Riverhead Ferry we have designed special cruises for you and your group that explore the tributaries, rivers and estuaries that flow into this spectacular waterway.

You will experience New Zealand history and scenery while cruising a long way up the rivers and creeks of the Waitemata Harbour and visit other destinations in and around the Hauraki Gulf like Rangitoto, Waiheke, Thames and the Coromandel.

Riverhead Ferry cruises are ideal for senior and social club outings, work functions and family celebrations including birthdays, anniversaries, stag and hen parties, ash scattering and wakes. All cruises on the MV Kawau Isle are fully catered.

MV Kawau Isle was purpose built for the mail and ferry run from Kawau Island to Sandspit and consequently can access shallower water than most charter boats. The Riverhead Ferry is able to go further inland than other charter boats on all our river way voyages.

Riverhead ferry is conveniently berthed at Z Pier in Auckland.
Pick up from other wharves can be arranged but may incur a small landing fee.
